In the sugar industry, Atlas Vacuum's liquid ring vacuum pumps and compressors are widely used for CO2 preparation, vacuum filtration, evaporators, and vacuum suction processes.
CO2 preparation
The CO2 compressor not only compresses but also maintains gas purity. Atlas compressors are completely oil-free and insensitive to solid particles drawn in. The disc of the compressor ensures that the gap between the rotor and impeller is large enough to prevent wear from lime/coal ash when cleaning CO2 gas. These impurities are not discharged with the CO2 gas, ensuring the cleanliness of the collected CO2 gas.
Contaminant filtration
The vacuum pump/compressor can withstand occasional water impacts. The exhaust port size on the disk is specially designed and has pressure release holes (to prevent over-compression), allowing the pump to withstand water impacts from filters or condensers without affecting the vacuum level.
Evaporators and vacuum suction cups
Throughout the entire suction pressure range, the vacuum pump/compressor can maintain high suction capacity. This shortens the evacuation time during vacuum chamber startup and easily adapts to operational condition changes such as pump start/stop. Due to the intake of moist air, water vapor condenses inside the pump, resulting in a significant suction capacity. However, power consumption does not increase."
